Dovre Group is an international project personnel and management service provider, whose group website was obsolete and non-functional, both technically and in terms of content. Digia implemented a website for Dovre that focuses on the Group’s core business.
Dovre Group, an international project personnel and management service provider, wanted to update their group site, which was hopelessly obsolete and non-functional, both technically and in terms of content. There was no system to the content. They tried to offer everything to everyone, which made the result a mess.
Dovre was hoping for something else than a traditional corporate website. The essential thing was to put the focus on what created business for Dovre: consultancy work in projects and delivering competent and experienced project staff. The new site had to reflect the Group’s key business priorities.
The aim of the project was to implement a responsive website that presents an attractive image of Dovre to the Group's key target groups, i.e. potential employees and investors. It was essential that the website should be easy and pleasant to use from the perspectives of both target groups.
A reliable site was to be implemented to a high standard of quality and on a tight schedule. The challenge was that the application’s back end was fully based on the Carerix recruitment system. Making the investor relation data received from an external service responsive was another thing to chew on.
The usability and user interface firm Idean was also involved in the project, being responsible for the site’s concept and layout.
Digia proposed an implementation based on the Drupal 7 content management system to Dovre. Drupal was a sensible choice, because it integrates quickly and reliably with different systems thanks to its API, and several integrations were planned for the project, including an extensive integration with the Carerix recruitment application.
The site was developed in six weeks by two senior developers. The schedule was tight, but we were able to wrap the project up on time.
Digia’s cooperation with Dovre continued successfully with the development of the Dovre Club. We also updated the Group site a bit in the autumn of 2014 due to some changes in Dovre’s own business environment.
