Our History
The Qt development framework was created in 1994 by a company called Trolltech. In 2008, Trolltech sold the Qt development framework to Nokia.
In March 2011, Digia Plc. purchased the licensing and support rights of Qt from Nokia to better serve commercial desktop and embedded companies and developers. Digia is the only company that has the commercial licensing rights to Qt and the only software house that can offer a one-stop shop for Qt development including licensing, support, training and services.
Digia, Qt Commercial works closely with Nokia, Qt Developement Frameworks to ensure contributions and feedback to the rest of the Qt community.
