February 13, 2012 – Helsinki & St. Petersburg: Digia RUS, the Russian branch of the Finnish software company Digia, has completed the development of a special mobile banking application for smartphones running the Symbian^3 operating system.
Alfa-Bank is the largest private bank in Russia. The company has 442 offices and bank branches in Russia and abroad. To improve its quality and convenience of its services, Alfa-bank provides the Alpha-Mobile service for its customers, which gives the possibility of using mobile devices to manage funds in the accounts, make payments and transfers, find necessary information about ATMs, branches, exchange rates, accounts and much more.
The Alpha-Mobile application has earlier been available for iOS and Android devices. Digia developed the application for Symbian^3 smartphones, that are common in Russia. This enables also the users of Symbian OS smartphones to activate the Alpha-Mobile banking service.
