I’m 36, live in Helsinki and I work in Digia as a Systems Designer. I’m an integration specialist and just got back from a 4.5 year onsite assignment back to work in Digia’s own premises. Originally I started with Digia in December 2006. In the future my intention is to work with Digia's own integration product, iSuite.

I like IT. Through new customer projects you get to see various environments and applications that affect the lives of ordinary citizens. Integration work is interesting, because it is so important to business in so many companies. By doing integration solutions, one gets to see many kinds of other systems and gets an outlook to the business’ operation.
The best things in my work are the technical challenges, the brain teasers that need to be solved and the possibility to live out my fastidious nature, when writing out scripts, code, documentation and others. In maintenance work the daily routines, such as following logs and updating tickets are sometimes a bit boring compulsory stuff.
Digia as an employer feels like a steady and confident company with good fringe benefits. I’m also happy that job rotation was possible for me. I want to constantly evolve technically and learn new things. My goal is to become an expert in a couple of technologies and act as an expert or realizer in customer projects.
