Digia announced the availability of Symbian Signed for Nokia service

Digia today announced the availability of Symbian Signed for Nokia service. Symbian Signed for Nokia is a testing and certification service for all developer branded applications targeted to Nokia devices. Typically these applications are pre-installed into operator variant devices or delivered through Nokia sales channels like the Ovi Store.
Digia sees this new service as an important addition for Digia's customers. Many customers need Symbian Signed or Symbian Signed for Nokia testing and certification as part of product creation programs and projects delivered by Digia. With this new service Digia is able to provide the certification seamlessly in these projects, reducing the overall cost and speeding up time to market for the application.
The service has been piloted by Digia with selected mobile operators and independent software vendors since the beginning of 2009. Results of the pilot have been positive and now everything is ready and set up according to the high-class standards of Digia services.
Digia's emphasis is in fast lead time for testing and certification because it is a key factor for customers in this type of service. Digia sees this through customer's eyes - this is the final phase before launching the application. The customer has worked hard to get the application to this point and we continue pushing the application to be certified and ready for the market.
Digia provides also assistance and pre-checking service in all areas for customers to get their application signed. Digia has a large pool of Symbian software specialists to help customers to solve trickiest problems which the customer might face during the certification and software development projects.
Service is now available directly through the Symbian Signed for Nokia portal.
