SYSOPENDIGIA Plc supplies a global internal communications system built on the Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 platform to Kemira GrowHow. It is estimated that almost 2,000 Kemira GrowHow employees will actively use the system.
Kemira GrowHow migrates to a new architecture and technology in developing the communications system. Kemira GrowHow's service includes a global corporation-wide intranet as well as a number of local portals. The new system will specifically support Kemira GrowHow's internal communications and teamwork-enhancing operations.
The system facilitates interactive communication and distributed maintenance of content while boosting co-operation by supporting project work. Teamwork spaces and advanced user management help in quick communication as well as make dividing work between employees easier and distributing information faster.
To start the project, a pilot portal was created at Kemira GrowHow's Harjavalta production site. The pilot portal was used by 150 employees, and their experiences were utilized in the development project and internal user training.
