Completed in the early autumn of 2001, the 70-metre high Digia Tower is a Pitäjänmäki landmark. The district of Pitäjänmäki is the Helsinki Metropolitan Area's largest cluster of business premises, encouraging a number of hi-tech companies to establish offices there, as evidenced by those based next door to the Digia Tower, such as Nokia, ABB and Canon.
The idea behind the design of the Tower by architect Mauri Tommila was based on a rational ecological and lifecycle approach coupled with functionality and cosiness. So, it is no exaggeration to say that the building represents Green High Tech design.
Digia selected Vertti Kivi, of IQ Design Oy, as its interior designer. He has been responsible for several IT companies' interior design in the last few years. Pitäjänmäki boasts excellent public transport services, and the Digia Tower can conveniently be reached by train or bus.
The Tower can be reached conveniently by train. Local A trains stop at Valimo, which is around a five-minute walk from the Tower. More information on train services can be found at

If you come by bus, bus stops close to the Tower include Talin siirtolapuutarha (allotment garden) on Pitäjänmäentie, Meijeritie on Kaupintie and Valimokuja on Vihdintie. More information on timetables is available at
