    SysOpen Digia Plc saw the light of day on 4th March 2005, when SysOpen Plc, founded in 1990, and Digia Inc., founded in 1997, merged on the basis of a combination merger agreement. The merger was unanimously approved at SysOpen Plc's AGM, with Digia Inc.'s shareholders unanimously accepting the related share swap offer. The merger also saw the redemption of an international investor group's minority holding in Digia Inc. The name of SysOpen Digia Plc was changed to Digia Plc with the decision of Annual General Meeting on March 11, 2008.

    Thereafter, Digia Plc has continued to implement its growth strategy, acquiring Yomi Software Ltd., a subsidiary wholly owned by Elisa Corporation, on 21st March 2005 and on 26 April 2006 Digia purchased the entire share capital of Samstock Ltd, a financial software company. With this acquisition, Digia continues to strengthen its operations in the financial sector in Finland and Nordic countries in accordance with its strategy. Digia purchased 31 May 2006 also Sentera Plc to strengthen Digia 's business domain know-how especially in industry, trade and logistics verticals. Digia provides a comprehensive set of products and services for its customers covering the entire life cycle of integrated business solutions. Digia's goal is to be the forerunner in ICT business solutions enabling enterprise mobility.
